Hi Irshad, This usually happens when end-user or subscriber has registered the multiple contacts with the domain proxy. multiple contacts can include , sip phone, mobile, soft phone etc. Forking plays the important here in such cases.
In parallel search (called as forking policy) , proxy will send the invite request to all the registered contacts of end-subscriber. Any end-point can send the 180 ringing provided its free. Proxy must be able to handle these multiple forked responses. The contact which answers (sending 2xx) the call first is connected to the caller. Rgds, Gururaj K.
