hi all

how will the inter domain requests be handled when the Sip Server on either
side of the domain is authentication enabled?

Consider the case of remote subscription.
Assume proxy1 forwards a request, say SUBSCRIBE to Proxy2. Both are
responsible for two different domains.

will the Proxy2 authenticate the SUBSCRIBE request? If yes, how could the
UA1 in the Proxy1 know the credential of Proxy2.

RFC 3261 recommends to establish a TLS connection between Proxy1 and Proxy2.
This means that the Proxy2 can have a policy of not
authenticating a reqeust that comes from a remote domain through TLS. Is
this rihgt?

Or Is TLS connection for Security only and the Proxy2 will authenticate the
request?

what is the standard behaviour for inter domain request?

thanks in advance
Hanifa
