RFC 3261: Section 11: "An OPTIONS request MAY be sent as part of an established dialog to query the peer on capabilities that may be utilized later in the dialog." But I would be in interested in knowing what prevents you from using Subscribe? Regards, Rahul
Hi, I am using a SUBSCRIBE Dialog. I have a SIP Application which will initiate a SUBSCRIPTION (Subscriber) to another Application and the SUBSCRIPTION is successful. This is a long lasting Subscription. I want to check whether the Notifier is up or not in intervals, so that the SUBSCRIPTION is active. According to RFC3265, Section 3.3.6, SUBSCRIBE Request can be sent within the dialog, to Poll the Resource state, which can also be checked the connectivity of the Notifier. But is there any other way to PING the Notifier within a SUBSCRIBE Dialog from Subscriber? Please Help.
