Hi, if only the to-tag is missing in your original 200 OK response, you can already check the registered bindings in that response. RFC3261, chapter 10 :
8. The registrar returns a 200 (OK) response. The response MUST contain Contact header field values enumerating all current bindings. Each Contact value MUST feature an "expires" parameter indicating its expiration interval chosen by the registrar... Of course you can send a query by sending the Register without a contact, but doing this after every Register request, doesn't seem to be a very good idea... See also inline ==> Kind regards, Nadine. Btw, the to-header of your register request contains your AOR, the contact-headers contain Bhanuprasad K S wrote: > My UAC is registered (by ignoring To-Tag in 200 OK) with registrar and > my future testing is running smoothly > what i felt is instead of discarding the response > I can verify my registration state success/failure by > a) Querying my REGISTER status by sending REGISTER request without > Contact Header, if 200 OK contact header contains my AOR, UAC is > registered else new register request ==> Btw, the to-header of your register request contains your AOR, the contact-headers contain you address bindings. > b) Sending INVITE if i receive 404 it means that UAC is not > registered then i can send a new register request > > if any body has better than all these please let me know > Thanks for the responses and support > > Regards, > Bhanuprasad KS > > ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Friday, March 09, 2007 9:36 AM > Subject: Re: [Sip-implementors] Importance of To-Tag in 200 OK of > Register > > >> From: "Bhanuprasad K S" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >> >> I (UAC) sent a REGISTER request to registrar, registrar responded >> with = >> 200 OK. >> The thing is, in 200 OK response to REGISTER To-Tag is not there, >> rest = >> is fine. >> >> How my UAC should behave upon receiving this 200 OK. >> Is UAC is registered ?
