Record-Route is inserted, by each proxy which wishes to be in the dialog path, in the initial request (e.g. INVITE). The UAs stores them and use them to construct Route headers for in-dialog requests. Route headers can also be used in an initial request, and then it's normally called a pre-configured route set. >2.
