Hi, The following two are queries relating to UAC behavior while trying to negotiate for session timer support. Section 7.2 Processing 2xx Response from RFC 4028 is being referred to.
1) Please confirm if, for UAC request for a session timer and corresponding 200 response, are the following UAC behavior correct ? REQUIRE HEADER in 200 response WITH VALUE 'timer' SESSION EXPIRES HEADER in 200 response UAC Behavior Present Present Turn On Timer with negotiated value Present Absent Not Possible. If a non compliant UAS does send this 200 response then UAC should treat it as the case where Require header was absent. Absent Present Turn On Timer with negotiated value Absent Absent Case 1: If this happens while examining the 200 OK response to an initial session refresh request, timer may or may not be turned on by the UAC. If turned on then refresher must be uac Case 2: If this happens while examining the 200 OK response to a subsequent session refresh request, then timer can be turned off. 2) Is there a way by which the UAS can ask a UAC that requested for a session timer to not turn on the session timer initially itself (as against asking for turning off of timer mid dialog?) Kindly offer clarifications on the above lines. Thank You.
