Hi Michael, Great response ..i understood but I want to say another scenario... If A calls B(where A and B are in different networks) and assume that B had enabled FMFM(finf me follow me) feature to C,D,E it means if B is not available then call be forwarded to C,D and E.Now finally when E gets the call the display name will be A,since here charging party is A. In this scenario you can't do this here you have to send P-Asserted identity header..

Your description is basically right, but your conclusion is wrong! I'll try to explain a little more clearly. Assume a dialog (D1) between A and B, and that A wishes to change the name that B is displaying. To do this, A sends a new INVITE, creating a new dialog (D2). This new INVITE contains a Replaces header that references the old dialog (D1). Then, when B accepts the new INVITE (not reinvite as you have written), it can send a BYE on the original dialog (D1). Most phones that I have seen will then update their displays based on the names associated with D2 rather than sticking with the old ones associated with D1. It works well, and uses only fairly standard SIP mechanisms. Of course, it isn't always the best solution, but for an IP-PBX acting as a B2BUA it certainly has merit.
