Can anybody clear this issue? I am still wondering whether to put userinfo or not. The user agent that constructs a Contact header is responsible for providing a syntactically correct sip/sips URI that will route to the user agent and be accepted by it. The user agent that *reads* a Contact header is responsible for using it as is required by the protocol. It may not object to the Contact header as long as the Contact header is a syntactically correct sip/sips URI. Any other way of operating would limit interoperability.
