From: Valentin Nechayev <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> is there a new RFC or even draft which allows syntax like
Contact: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:5060;tgrp="name2"> ? According to RFC3261, quotes aren't allowed for pvalue, but seems style as shown is common at least for two vendors. No, nothing allows that syntax. See rule 'other-param' in RFC 3261 section 25.1. Those vendors must change their code. Of course, in the case you've written, if the intention is that the value of tgrp is name2, it can be written simply as: Contact: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:5060;tgrp=name2> Characters that are not in 'unreserved' or 'param-unreserved' can be escaped using the %-mechanism. So if the value should be 'One?', one can write: Contact: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:5060;tgrp=One%3F> If the double-quotes are intended to be part of the value, one can write: Contact: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:5060;tgrp=%22name2%22> Dale _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors
