Subject: [Sip-implementors] sdp with missing m line

Hello All,

Please let me know the behavior for the below cases.
I believe 'm=' line is not mandatory according to rfc 4566
Still It was decided to release the session in our application.

case1:
Invite is received with SDP, and has no 'm=' line.
In case we need to reject such an Invite,
what is the most suitable response code?
Could we use 415 unsupported media type.?

[SSS] I think the response code 415 is used when UAS doesn't
      understand the SDP itself.
In this case you can reject with 403 Forbidden.

case2:
18x/200 recieved with SDP, and has no 'm=' line.
for 18x, send CANCEL
for 200, send ACK and BYE.
Is this OK?

[SSS] If 18x has no m= line, I think we can discard and remain silent
unless UAC issues CANCEL because chances are there that 200
might have m= line and call may be successful. ( Best Effort Service )
If 200 has no m= line then I think its okay to send BYE as the Call
is not meaningful w.r.t. Voice call.
If its meaningful in some other service we may not tear it down.

Thanks
Karthik
