Have been working on SBC, but haven't seen the RFC 4145 usage so far. Regards, Somesh S Shanbhag M G L Bangalore

The draft that defines this is RFC 4582. But I see that this spec requires exchange of BFCP protocol messages over TCP. I would like to know from anyone about what is the feasibility of this mechanism succeeding with proxies. If the proxy acts as a media gateway (B2BUA), what would it behave like? Since this is modeled after RFC 4145(TCP-Based Media Transport in the Session Description Protocol), what has been the success of endpoints to get this kind of a SDP across the standard proxies. This(RFC 4582) seems to be the only solution for floor control but I am afraid it might be completely un-interoperable. At least if anyone can comment about their success rate with RFC 4145, I'd be very happy. -Thanks Kamath, LifeSize Communications _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors EMAIL DISCLAIMER : This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
