Content-Encoding: UTF-8 is invalid. Its value can be gzip,..refer 2616. Also, Accept-Encoding: identity means: It is a default encoding which is the entity with out any encoding.

Hi, I'm trying a softphone which sends a MESSAGE with: -------- Content-Type: text/plain Content-Encoding: UTF-8 Content-Length: 5 HELLO -------- Other softphone receives that MESSAGE and replies with: --------- SIP/2.0 415 Unsupported Media Type Accept-Encoding: identity --------- I don't know what "Accept-Encoding: identity" means, but I wonder if it's valid the usage of "Content-Encoding: UTF-8". I've seen in other implementations the following: --------- Content-Type: text/plain;charset=utf-8 --------- (which seems more appropiate). -- Iñaki Baz Castillo _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors
