Usually SIP message will use 5060/5061 for signalling (SIP message). You
can use other port though.
RTP packet will come on the port indicated on "m=" line.

Eg:

INVITE sip:38021@<ip>5061;transport=udp SIP/2.0
....<omited reset of the lines>
 v=0 o=- 1 1 IN <ip>
s=- c=IN IP4  <ip>
 b=AS:64
 t=0 0
m=audio 2050 RTP/AVP 0 127
a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000 a=rtpmap:127
 telephone-event/8000

SIP message will come on 5061 as indicated in Request_URI line.
Similarly, RTP will come on 2050 and RTCP on 2051 as indicated in "m="
line. Here, "<ip>" will represent actual IP number.
Taking ahead, the SIP message port in each intermediate proxy will be
indicated in Via header field.

Subject: [Sip-implementors] How to know SIP200 or RTP message is on the
port?

hi all
I have a setup. Everything is fine. A gateway is there.
Calls routes through that gateway using a particular port.

How can i know the status of that port
i.e which message is going on
SIP 200 has gone or not
is RTP messages are going on
?

How do know such things.
