Hello,
I would appreciate your help in understanding the best way to convert a dial string to a global number format. Let's assume that a subscriber dials an international number: aaa-ccc-nnn-xxxxxx, where digits aaa select one of the international operators, ccc represent the country code, nnn represent the area code and xxxxxx the local number. The global number format would be +ccc-nnn-xxxxxx. Should the converting equipment place the aaa digits in the cic field, as in tel:+ccc-nnn-xxxxxx;cic=+aaa? Or should it use the routing parameter rn, as in tel:+ccc-nnn-xxxxxx;rn=+aaa-ccc-nnn-xxxxxx? Or would it be preferable to configure the route information for each possible international operator and use it in the Route header, as in ... tel:+ccc-nnn-xxxxxx Route: aaaServer Or none of the above - then how? The same question is relevant also for national operators. Is the solution the same? Many thanks.
