Hi,
It depends on timer value configured. The node where timer will expire
first will terminate the call. It may be possible timer expires almost at same
time on various nodes and we can have some race conditions. Normally on UAC
side timer is configured less and UAC sends CANCEL but on the other hand UAS
can also send negative response of call. But rather then 500 response B should
send 408 request time out

Thanks,
Vivek Talwar

Subject: [Sip-implementors] Continuous ringing 180

Appreciate if anybody could explain the following scenario with RFC

User A sends INVITE to B, continuous ring is going to B. B does not answer. In
that case who will send message to terminate the call.

In my testing, B (UAC)is sending 500 and call is getting terminated. Is it Ok
as per RFC. Or Softswitch(UAS) must send cancel to terminate the call.

regards
