As per RFC3261 section 7.1 --
"The SIP-Version string is case-insensitive, but implementations MUST send
upper-case."
Now, ETSI conformance test specification for SIP-3261 has following test case -
5.5.4.2 Invalid Behaviour
TPId: SIP_MG_TE_I_001
Status: Mandatory
Ref: RFC 3261 [1] section 7.1.
Purpose: Ensure that the IUT on receipt of an INVITE request with
SIP-version in lower case, sends a
Success (200 OK) response preceded optionally by informational (1XX)
response
Is this testcase correct as per 3261 text ?
IMO 3261 doesn't explicitly mentions how UAS implementions need to handle such
requests.
