RFC 3261 is quite clear enough. There is a very high probability that the real reason they do not want to correct their code is a business reason, that is, they do not want to spend the money to do so. If that is the case, they will continue to make clearly incorrect statements about the contents of the RFCs, regardless of what the IETF does. In practice, the only cure is to cease doing business with this company.
