There have been discussions about this, but I can't find any internet-drafts that propose a way to indicate the location code. My guess is that nobody has found an effective use for it.

RFC 6432 defines carrying q.850 codes Reason Header. As per RFC 3326 the Reason Header Field follows the standard SIP parameter syntax Reason = "Reason" HCOLON reason-value *(COMMA reason-value) reason-value = protocol *(SEMI reason-params) protocol = "SIP" / "Q.850" / token reason-params = protocol-cause / reason-text / reason-extension protocol-cause = "cause" EQUAL cause cause = 1*DIGIT reason-text = "text" EQUAL quoted-string reason-extension = generic-param The Reason Header carrying q.850 codes indicates only q.850 Cause Code and a reason text. Reason: Q.850 ;cause=16 ;text="Terminated" Q.850 also indicates location field that indicates the point of failure 0 user (U) 1 private network serving the local user (LPN) 2 public network serving the local user (LN) 3 transit network (TN) 4 public network serving the remote user (RLN) 5 private network serving the remote user (RPN) 7 international network (INTL) Is there any standard that mentions about indicating location code as well in Reason Header?
