Hi

I have a query regarding the handling of Resource-Priority header in SIP
messages.

RFC 4412 says that the header should only come in Request messages. As per
Section 20 of RFC 3261, any header or extension which is unknown must be
"ignored".

We have a UA which understands Resource-Priority header (it is a known header).
If it receives a Resource-Priority header in a response, what should be the
expected behavior:

- Whether the UA should remove the header from the response?

- Or the UA should simple ignore the header and not remove it?

Thanks
Rakshit
