Hi,
When a UA which supports IPV6 and IPV4 is connected to an IPV6 network it could
be that SIP messages are routed to IPV4 SIP server via NAT64.
In which case the SDP will contain IPV6 media line which the IPV4 server should
rejectwith 488. In this scenario is it acceptable to make an offer with both
IPV6 and IPV4 media lines.
If the remote IPV4 server initiates the call to an IPV6 client registered with
it via NAT64, the medialine will contain IPV4 only. Is it acceptable for the
IPV6 client to take this IPV4 address and synthesisean IPV6 address which which
media can be routed back to the IPV4 server via NAT64 or should it reject with
488?
There don't seem to be any RFCs dealing with what is definitely allowed.
Thanks
