Are you asking how TCP handles retransmission internally, or are you asking about retransmission intervals in SIP for messages sent over “unreliable transport”?
If the latter, every message type (it might be more accurate to say “message genre”) has different retransmission limits, and they are all regulated by Timer T1/T2/T4 and Timer A-K.
