it seems sipp won't execute the <send> after this <recv> if it's "optional". now my sipp sends nothing to REGISTER. (removing "next" doesn't solve this.)

On 1. - crlf outputs a blank line in the scenario display, nothing more

On 2. - I regard it as a bug but the backwards search for optional messages
looks without limit so it is possible to do
  recv request="REGISTER" optional="true" next="10"
in the first receive sequence.
