I attempted to get the network level capture; but was not successful. I believe I cannot get this trace because the traffic is all on the same host. Using tethereal I tried the following: tethereal -f "not tcp port ssh" And placed an actual SIP call - Doing that I see the SIP traffic Running the same trace and SiPp locally; I don't see the SIP traffic. I do have the SIP debug coming out of Asterisk (see below). AFAIK this is the closest I can get to a true network level capture. Maybe my problem is I am running SiPp on the same host as Asterisk? Maybe the messages aren't getting where they should because of that??
