I guess this issue there is that the NOTIFY comes in with a new call-id. Is that the case?

Olivier, I also looked into adding NOTIFY for -aa, and in my tests, the NOTIFY was rejected as an out of call message, before being handled by the auto-answer code, because it is a new dialog initiated by our presence server.
Not sure if that will be an issue for his scenario, but it was a non-starter for mine.
