Not in any straightforward way because a
received retransmission will always be detected as such. The only things I can
think of to try are either: a) Use the lost=”nn” scenario option. (I have never tried
this – I just spent 10 minutes working out that it was a scenario option
and not a command line parameter. I assume nn is a percentage.) That should
cause the recv or send it is placed with to be discarded some of the time. So
if you do both you can test both cases. b) Add a pause after the recv long enough for the sender to send the
message again. I am not sure what the retransmission detection code will do but
Ethereal will certainly prove that the sender retransmistted. Please let the list know what works. Peter From:
