I ran 2 sipp sessions on the same machine pointing at an application sitting on a different box - one sipp session was acting as a client & one was a server. I ran them both as follows "nohup sipp ....host of options... -bg &" From what I could see, there was probably a fair amount of activity when I ran "top". I then sent a "kill -s SIGUSR1 [client SIPp sesion pid]" to the client SIPp session and a similar one later to the server SIPp session.
I was hoping to see the summary statistics on messages sent/received/dropped (what I usually see on the screen) and what have you in the log file but I don't see anything. Am I doing something wrong ? I am going to kick off these sessions and let them run overnight. For that reason, I'd like to avoid running it with trace_err since the file size when I get in the next morning may be "stupid". Ideas ? Suggestions ? Thoughts ?
