storm.

The simple way (without hacking the code) is to run SIPP once to create
the calls, at whatever cps you need and then exit SIPP. Run it again
with a very high cps just to send the BYE storm.

You have to make sure that the 2nd run uses the same Call-ID values as
the first and you have to be careful of the tag values (or be pre-3261
and leave them out).

If you are testing a device that modifies the tag values both ways (that
you cannot predict) and demands RFC 3261 compliance that will not work,
otherwise it will.

Subject: [Sipp-users] How to send BYE messages to simulate a BYE storm.

Hi Sipp'ers

I have a requirement to simulate a BYE storm, I used the simple UAC/UAS
scenarios for a couple of thousand calls, I could not work out how using
the existing scripting language I could control sending the BYE's for
these established calls at say 40 cps.

Given there is a way to force the call setup @ variable rates I wondered
if there was simple way of controlling the release rate.
