I'm a bit surprised, because you mentioned in your first e-mail that you was
using a sipp v1.1pre-with-TLS version, which doesn't exist on the site. So I
don't know where you got it from and cannot tell you how to uninstall it
(perhaps using rpm -e ?).
Anyway, you don't have to uninstall the old version to use the new rebuilt
version. Just take care of which binary your test scripts point at.
Sipp is no true SIP client (no SIP stack in it), the compilation is very quick,
you don't have to worry about that.

i have a bad feeling about it, i've already done this with sip clients last
year and it was not
a good experience :)

Binary packages for UNIX are only provided for versions >= 2.0. For getting the
1.1rc8, you have to download the source and rebuild it.
Don't forget to copy to sipp-users mailing-list when replying :-)

I'm trying to uninstall an old version of sipp to install a newer one, or
upgrade of the old one.
My old version is sipp v1.1pre-with-TLS, and the one im trying to install is
sipp 1.1rc8.
