Hi John,
 
With the 1st INVITE, is your call established? If yes, then for the
re-invite, you needn't send a '100 Trying'. All you need to do is to
send a '200 OK'.
100 Trying makes sense when the call is being established. Once that is
done, there is no meaning in subsequent '100 Trying' for subsequent
"INVITE'.
