thanks a lot Anuj, for your quick help.
It solved my both of my issues with PCAP.

But the other issue wherein I am not able to run the scenarios in the -bg mode
(background) remains :( it works good with release version of 3.0.
But fails with release version of 3.1 and with the following snapshot too.
I have a mail posted on this over the sipp-users too.

Please help me with this.
Currently I am using SIPp source dated "sipp.2008-07-23"

thanks,
Naresh

Hi Naresh,

Before doing anything else, I would suggest, you could try with the latest
available source of sipp from the unstable downloads.
You can get it from
http://sipp.sourceforge.net/snapshots/

Anuj

hi,

I compiled sipp sources (sipp-3.0.src.tar.gz and sipp.3..1.src.tar.gz) with
some changes to support auto answer for OPTIONS request.
The compilation was successful and able to use sipp for all the scenarios except
1. Not able to support [auto_media_port] keyword and
2. Not able to play any pcap file.

it is throwing errors as
"auto_media_port keyword requires PCAPPLAY"
"play_pcap_audio requires pcap support"

I have compiled "make pcapplay_ossl" successfully while compiling sipp and also
followed the instructions as in
" http://sipp.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Compilation#Linux.2FRedhat " by
compiling libpcap-0.9.3.tar.gz but still I am unable to solve above two issues.

Your help is requested in this regard.

thanks,
Naresh
