Hello all,

I added the option -trace_syslog to sipp, comparable with -trace_logs but
sending the message of the <log> actions to syslog. Both can be used
simultaneously too.

The syslog message priority can be specified by starting the message string
with the first letter of Debug, Notice, Info, Warning or Error, as in <log
message="E-TIMEOUT for BYE in call [call_id]"/>.

As you probably all know, syslog automatically gives you message time stamps,
rotating file logs, logging to a screen, remote logging to a central server and
other nice features and tools.

I only compiled this on linux but I think any unix will accept this without
adaptations. Diffs are on the sources dated 2008/07/23 in a directory named
sipp.2008-07-23.new.

I hope you can incorporate this in the main code,

   Best regards,

  MarcVD
