AFAIK, IMS Bench SIPp has only ever been used on Unix. Yes, running the manager
is required. IMS Bench SIPp is not just some set of IMS scenarios for SIPp. It
is a more complex system, based on a modified SIPp and that is targeted at
benchmarking in a reasonably automated and reproducible way IMS or SIP network
components. It comes with its own documentation at
http://sipp.sourceforge.net/ims_bench
More importantly, you cannot use another version of SIPp than the one that is
part of the IMS Bench SIPp project. It is a self-contained package (source only
so far) where all included components are meant to work together.
Please read more about what IMS Bench SIPp is at
http://sipp.sourceforge.net/ims_bench/intro.html

Subject: Re: [Sipp-users] SIPp IMS Bench. Is sipp.dtd incomplete?
Yesterday I was reading our maling list trying to find a similar problem but I
failed, that's why I need to insist on doing it. Because of that I'm trying to
be more explicit. Maybe somebody can help me better it I describe the steps I
have done.
1. I installed the version 3.1.2 (unstable ossl)
2. I download the IMS Bench from svn into my Eclipse.
3. I opened the basic scenarios from IMS Bench svn, ims_uac exactly.
4. I opened my comman line, went to the directory of my xml files an execute
"sipp -sf ims_uac ..." and the result is the following:
2008-10-03 09:54:06:328 1223020446.328125: Unknown element 'info' in
xml scenario file.
Questions:
1. Is it better working in Linux?
2. Is it mandatory execute manager.xml before executing my scenario?
3. Why labels are not included in sipp.dtd declared on xml scenario file?
I hope somebody understand my problem better.
Thanks in advance :)

Yes, my editor relies on the dtd because the header of the xml document has
specified it. My problem is that I use the labes from IMS bench like for
instance sendRmt or recvRmt, the execition tell me that this labels are
unknown. I don't know if it is a problem of the dtd or maybe the sipp program.
I work in WXP.
Thanks

The DTD was not updated for IMS Bench SIPp because SIPp itself doesn't actually
use it. Hence this should not cause any trouble when running IMS Bench SIPp.
Are you asking because you use an XML editor that relies on the dtd or
something like this?

Subject: [Sipp-users] SIPp IMS Bench. Is sipp.dtd incomplete?
Hi all,
I'm testing seevral scenarios and I have problems with the sipp.dtd definition
cause there are labels undefined for IMS Bench. Do anyone know where is a
complete dtd?
Thanks
