FYI, fixed the problem by using the -mi parameter on the Linux client to set
the local media IP address, ie:
WinXP client: sipp -sf g711a_pcap.xml users 2
192.168.0.2
Linux client (Mandriva 2008): sipp -sn uas -mi 192.168.0.1
Now I have RTP traffic flowing between the Windows and Linux client.
When I use 2 Linux clients, the -mi paramater is only required on the UAS. Not
too sure why this is required, but at least it now works.

WinXP.
Hi David,
The firewall on Mandriva is completely switched off. I also implemented the tip
from Zili0n (ie removing -1 from line 195 of the call.cpp file) but did not
change anything.
Then I noticed that my RTP library was not installed on the Mandriva client
(sorry I am a bit novice to Linux), installed everything related to RTP and
still no joy...so I am still working on it...
Just a few addtional questions:
1. I was planning to use WinXP clients to test the capacity of my Lan in terms
of number of simultaneous G711 calls, but then I noticed the following from the
SIPp documentation:
Advices to run performance tests with SIPp
SIPp has been originally designed for SIP performance testing. Reaching high
call rates and/or high number of simultaneous SIP calls is possible with SIPp,
provided that you follow some guidelines:
* Use an HP-UX, Linux or other *ix system to reach high performances.
The Windows port of SIPp (through CYGWIN) cannot handle high performances.
-> What would be the maximum number of calls the Windows port of SIPp can
handle?
2. I would like to do my testing using a bidirectional calls, I guess the only
way would be to run 2 instances of SIPp on both clients, ie one instance for
UAS and another one for UAC, ie:
On client 1: sipp -sf g711a_pcap.xml users X 192.168.0.2
sipp -sn uas
On client 2: sipp -sn uas
sipp -sf g711a_pcap.xml users X 192.168.0.1
Where X is the number of simultanous calls.
Does this sound a sensible way to test my Lan in terms of simultanous
bidirectional G711 calls?
Thanks,
Antoine

To ask the obvious question first, is the Linux box running a firewall
ruleset, and if so did you check that it is allowing the RTP traffic?
