I would like to get SIPP to ramp up to full speed so that my server has
some time to get initialized before the big traffic hits. Preferrably, I would
not stand at the console thumbing the '+' key. I tried:

$ sipp -rate 1 -rate_increase 1 -fd 1s -rate_max 100 -no_rate_quit

        I expect this to start at 1cps and increase the rate by 1cpss until it
levels off at 100cps. However, the rate just stays at 1. I re-read the
documentation (online help), but I got no enlightenment. Any idea where I went
astray?

        Thanks,

Mike
