I'd add one thing. I could not get sip to transmit any packets initially. It
turned out that I needed the -i option because I have both an IPv4 and IPv6
address on my machine. I'm not sure what sip was doing prior to adding this
option but it was not able to send any SIP messages to my server.

Yep, you're in the right place.
Just dump a building scenario into an xml file using the below command line
(redirect output to file):
sipp -sd uac > uac_diversion.xml
Open the file for editing in the any text editor, and add a Diversion header (I
hope U mean that in Diversion) were the Invite section is located:
Diversion:
<sip:[email protected]>;counter=1;reason=user-busy;screen=yes
Save and run the scenario using the next command line:
sipp -sf uac_diversion.xml . . . . . . . . . .
Of course add the parameters you need like remote host, call rate and so on...
Good luck,
Itzik Harel.

Subject: [Sipp-users] Newbie: Ease of use of SIPp
Just starting to investigate SIPp for building test cases for a sip application.
I want to be able to have SIPp make 1 call to a sip application server, but
would like to be able to have INVITE include the Diversion tag, is this
something that is easily done within SIPp or should I be looking elsewhere?
Thanks
