It is basically TCP call.While doing TCP handshake signals, It negotiates
the encryption mechanism(cipher) to be used and then if negotiated
successfully, it will start encrypting each and every message sent and start
decrypting each and every message received based on the encryption method
used.

Currently more frequently used encryption mechanism is AES.
