I am using SIPp to make test calls to a voice messaging system and am having
problems getting above 35 calls/sec. The test works picture perfect at call
rates of 10, 20 and 30/sec. However, at a rate of 35 calls/sec, SIPp reports
lots of retransmissions and unexpected messages and the current call count
skyrockets.
I can run over 70 calls/sec with other call driver software which we have used
for years, so I know the destination system is more than capable of handling
the load. The basic call scenario reads up a list of mailboxes and then
does sip invites to the mailbox. The destination system would then play a
prompt asking for the pin to sign into the system, However, the scenario just
waits 7 seconds and then hangs up.
The driving system is using SIPp 3.1.5 and the system shows very low memory and
processor usage, so the driving system is not out of gas. I've checked and
there are plenty of available file handles.
Any hints or tips would be appreciated.
