Hi all
i am going to test some SIP servers, but i have some problem , that i found
in this document
http://www.google.sk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=4&ved=0CDUQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wseas.us%2Fe-library%2Fconferences%2F2010%2FCatania%2FTELE-INFO%2FTELE-INFO-26.pdf&ei=gEGoTfC3EdDysgbbibHuAw&usg=AFQjCNFQMGSmB-OxKORssvJhJn1rMM3SYA&sig2=oFhE6JBVuUxTLpta3sCc-w
It says that sipp can only generate aproximately 200 calls per second:
"Each PC with our hardware configuration can generate
around 200 calls. This is why the number of clients
should equal or exceed four. In our case, four is just
enough to perform the test. Servers can handle double
load, and this is why there will be just two of them.

A. Hardware and software configuration of UACs
• Intel Celeron D 3,33 GHz, 1GB DDR
• Ubuntu 9.04 x64

B. Hardware and software configuration of UASs
• Intel Celeron D 3,33 GHz, 1 GB DDR
• Ubuntu 9.04 x64

C. Hardware and software configuration of B2BUA
• CPU – AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
• RAM – 4GB DDR2 (3,5 GB used due to x86
system)
• Debian 5.0 x86
• Asterisk PbX v. 1.6.2 "

So here is the question can SIPp generate more than 200calls/s, if yes how
much?
i have tried with -r 2500 calls per second i was a lot to my server in
virtual box, but i didn't measure of sniff its true value. I need to know if
SIPp can actualy generate just 200 calls. If it is true than need to
synchronize those UACs. My bachelor consultant thinks that this is true,
that regular hardwear is not capable of this accuracy that i need 2500 calls
per second.
Thanks
BR
Michal
