I have not tried the patch. I don't know if this will help in your
situation but we run our tests using cheap servers in the Amazon EC2 cloud
and just run lots of sipp processes. As imsbench allows a "herd" of them
to run we have never bothered to try to get large concurrent numbers out of
a single sipp. I also think you can run multiple sipp processes on the
same box and control them with imsbench now that I think about it. But in
our case having lots of servers with lots of different IP addresses coming
form lots of places in the country was more "real" anyhow.
