I did use tcpdump using -i. Thanks for the tip, I will give that a try.

Did you use tcpdump/tshark with "-i any".
If so, it could be that the packets are in Linux cooked-mode and if I am
not mistaken, currently sipp is unable to read them. So you should use a
specific interface like eth0, eth1 etc.
