conftest.c is a file created by autoconf: it's how it checks whether
your compiler works and has certain features. The real problem you're
hitting is "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lc".

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=271556 suggests that
the issue may be a missing glibc-devel package. Try running ` yum
groupinstall "Development Libraries"` before you compile SIPp.
