1048576 I already set this in the limits.conf file for root user. This will show you the maximum number of open filehandles each process is allowed to have. Each call's socket for sending media counts as one of those filehandles (whereas the SIP traffic for all calls is sent over the same socket by default, so that doesn't hit that limit). I suspect it defaults to 1024, which is why you can't open another socket once you have ~1000 calls going. If it looks like that is the problem, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34588/how-do-i-change-the-number-of-open-files-limit-in-linux will tell you how to raise this limit.
