Hi,
I have a question about the relationship between SIPp's target rate, and
it's (achieved) call rate
I know that SIPp reports in its statistics two numbers TargetRate and
CallRate
TargetRate is what the user has set with -r option (or in other ways),
CallRate(P) is the number of calls that are sent each second over the last
logging period (correct me if wrong)
Now, here is my question:
** What mechanism in SIPp determines the value of CallRate? *
In other words:
1) Why is the value CallRate smaller than TargetRate when attempting high
call rate
2) In the cases that (1) happens. How is the value of CallRate determined?
Is it basically what SIPp can send out given the resources of the machine
on which it is running or is there some kind of overload control (perhaps
local overload control) going on?
