Hello, Scenario:
0. Upgrade your LG Nortel firmware. :-) 1. Fire up lg phone 2. Go to sipxconfig 3. Configure phone call forwarding feature using sipxconfig 4. Add call forwarding on no response and in the number field put a number that will be routed through a dial plan to a gateway. 5. Save, reboot phone. 6. Call phone wait till call is redirected to gateway after no pickup. The redirection will fail and call will go to voicemail. Can sipxconfig disallow this configuration rather than allow it and only to have it fail at run time? It should be possible to determine that call will be routed to an existing gateway at the time of field entry and disallow it. I understand it is not always possible to make it work at configuration time because it is always possible to add a dial plan and gateway after the phone has been configured. Thoughts? Is this worth a JIRA issue? Ranga -- M.
