In trialing firmware version 3.1 with sipx 3.10.2, I noticed some undesired
behavior with BLF. While there were some display oddities, probably due to
mismatched template files, etc., the larger functional and non-cosmetic issue
had to do with BLF.

It was interesting to see the enhanced BLF from Polycom (watched BLF line
rings, and pickup softkey is presented to user). What also happened was after a
couple of hours BLF broke and maintained a "BUSY" indication when the line was
not or NOT BUSY status when the line actually was. When the BUSY was showing,
pickup option were also not presented.

Since Polycom is presenting new options and enhancements to BLF, the underlying
question I would have is whether support for 3.1 firmware should be introduced
as maintenance release in 3.10 if the dialogue in sipXrls is not capable of
properly updating the phones with the enhancements from Polycom and whether
this is something that should be addressed in 4.0.

Is it also possible disabling the enhanced BLF is possible thereby maintaining
reliable BLF functionality while still being able to use other new features
(call recording, visual conference management, etc.). Or do i misunderstand
what I have experienced so far?
