Hello, I dropped my tables and reconfigured my system from scratch for the 3.11.6-013522 build.
After reconfiguration, I noticed my Lg Nortel phones would not register. Upon investigation, I observed that in the outbound proxy address for the lg nortel phone ( 6812 with firmware upgraded), you have to place a proxy address and a port. When I placed my DNS domain name in it (i.e. example.com), I expected it to do a DNS SRV lookup but it did not and hence it could not register. I have DNS srv set up on my system and sipxconfig generates a profile for the phone which is picked up by the phone ( verified ). I observed that when I changed that proxy address to an actual ip address where the sipx proxy is running the phone does register. Using wireshark, I observed that the phone does not send out a DNS SRV query to determine the proxy address. Is this normal or have I again mis configured something ( which would hardly be surprising ) or is something amiss with the profile that sipxconfig is generating? Thanks for reading! Ranga -- M.
