Seems to me that this is the standard way CentOS or Fedora install a
64 bit version, so that 32 bit apps still work. How would I change
that?
The w3c-libwww library is the only one then that has that problem.
All the other parts of sipXecs, including /lib, compile just fine
with both versions installed. Seems to me this is a bug in w3c-
libwww build system.

If you are having difficulties building, then may I suggest that you
use the pre-built RPM available from the sipxecs-unstable-centos
repository.
