Woof! Interesting news from the Asterisk world:
<http://news.yahoo.com/s/cnet/20080926/tc_cnet/8301100131005204992;_ylt=Ai7hFsY3ZtkHZbV_.CHuHrGor7oF> Woof's instant analysis: An interesting step for Digium, as Skype support makes an interesting differentiator in the market. Skype's popularity cannot be denied, and the way it "just works" in all NAT situations has made it much easier to deploy than competing SIP solutions. Of course, Skype is closed source, and employes a propriatary protocol which is rather well guarded. It'll be interesting to see how it gets packaged--Digium only, or part of the Asterisk ecosystem. --Woof! _______________________________________________ sipx-dev mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-dev Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-dev
