Freeswitch is another opensource telephony project that is being utilized by sipfoundry in the sipXecs project.
It is being tapped (and this is all version 4 stuff we're talking about here) to provide AutoAttendant, IVR and Conferencing services. It will be configured by the sipXconfig service within sipXecs. Questions like this are probably better off on the sipx-users list rather than bothering the developers...
