Does anybody have a history on the SipUserAgent PING mechanism and whether it is still being used? If the mechanism is not being used would it be OK if I were to completely erase the logic that supports it - it is causing http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XECS-2136? What is the policy on the API changes and obsolete logic? Can I simply get rid of the SipUserAgent constructor parameters responsible for PING logic? Or do we want to mark them as deprecated and erase the internal PING code without changing the constructor parameters?
